Bio

Patrick Arrasmith specializes in scratchboard art and has worked on illustrations for publishing, advertising and editorial clients including HarperCollins, Scholastic, the New York Times and Wall Street Journal.

Patrick was the illustrator for Joseph Delaney’s young adult series The Last Apprentice, completing over a dozen covers and 200+ interiors for the books. He has illustrated many Neal Stephenson limited edition novels including Snow Crash, Anathem, Seveneves and Cryptonomicon. He’s worked on labels for products like Shiner Beer and Kiehl’s and has created illustrations in animated spots for brands like JP Morgan Chase and the Harry Potter franchise.

Born and raised in Walnut Creek, California, Patrick attended the California College of Arts and moved to New York City after receiving a scholarship from the Society of Illustrators. He stayed out there for 20 years before returning to the west coast. He now lives in the Seattle area with his wife and two kids. When he's not drawing, he loves to cook, mountain bike, hike and travel.
